Take your mental game to the next level.

Teaching athletes, coaches, and teams to elevate their performance, team culture, and life outside sport through mental skills coaching.

Hi, I’m Julie!

I’m a mental performance coach with a background in strength and conditioning and social work. I bring over 15 years of experience in youth development, holistic health curriculum design, and coaching at the intersection of mental skills and sport performance.

I founded The Other 23 Hours Coaching to teach athletes and their support systems (i.e. coaches, parents, and staff) the mental skills to thrive in sport and in life. My mission is to be the mentor that I needed growing up; helping athletes navigate the mental challenges and stress of sport participation, while also being an advocate for social change in youth and women’s sports.

I know that it’s not about just the physical side of sport- we need to ensure we’re training the mental side with as much dedication and intention. And when you do that, suddenly your performance on competition day packs an extra punch.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work from The University of Denver and my Bachelor’s in Sociology from The University of Hartford. I am a Certified Mental Performance Mastery Coach, Pain-Free Performance Specialist, Sleep, Stress Management and Recovery Coach, and an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer.

Outside of work, you can catch me at an Angel City Football Club game, hiking a mountain while listening to a women’s soccer podcast, sipping on strong coffee, swinging a kettlebell, or taking a rest day with my black lab, Millie.
